How Wave73 works

Wave73 helps amateur radio operators connect in real life.

1. Check in

Check in at your current location to become visible to others.
You’ll only see other hams if they are checked in at the same place.

2. See who’s nearby

Once checked in, you’ll see a list of nearby hams at that location.
Each ham appears with their callsign and current status.

3. Call CQ

Use CQ to signal that you’re available and open to connect.
Other hams at the same location will see your CQ status instantly.

4. Send a Wave

Send a Wave to say hello and start a connection.
You can include a short note to help coordinate where to meet.

5. Meet in real life

Wave73 is designed to move quickly from discovery to real-world interaction.
Use it to meet other hams at hamfests, public places, or while traveling.

Important

Wave73 only works when multiple users are checked in at the same place.
If you don’t see anyone, it likely means no other hams are currently checked in there.
